On the late Late Mangeshkar’s 93rd Anniversary, actor Anil Kapoor took it to social media to pay homage to the legendary singer and share a voice note of hers. He shared a heartwarming note along with the voice message, sure to make us feel the absence of the legendary artist and her mesmerising voice. Lata Mangeshkar passed away in February this year.

The Jugjugg Jeeyo actor called the voice note one of his most cherished possessions and took it to share it with the world as a tribute to the most honoured artists of that time.

Anil Kapoor took his Instagram handle to remember her by sharing a voice note of hers dedicated to him. In the voice note, she says, “Mujhe bohot acha lagta hai aapka kaam, jisme bhi aapne kaam kiya hai maine woh sab filmein dekhein hai.” She further said, “aapki acting achi lagti hai, bhagwan kare aap aise hi rahe aur aap par ishwar ki bohot bohot kripa rahe, aap khush rahe , sukhi rahe aur aandmay rahe, bas yahi meri shubhkaamnaaye.”
The video shared by the actor showcased one of the most revered glimpses of him with her and took to write a heartfelt note for the late singer.

He captioned the post, “On Lata Ji’s birth anniversary just want the world to listen to the voice note which is one of my most treasured possessions.. she was not only the greatest singer but also thoughtful, encouraging and caring…great people never forget to be great human beings.…”

The post was immediately responded to by several netizens appreciating the actor to remember the legend on her most special day. Various comments and heart-melting messages surfaced on account of Anil Kapoor’s heartfelt message to Lata Mangeshkar, and we just wish we could savour more soulful pieces from her.

Lata Mangeshkar is renowned as the “Queen of Melody.” She is the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Bharat Ratna for her exceptional contribution to the music field. Her name also appeared in Guinness World Record as the most recorded artist between 1948 and 1987. She died at 92, making “Saugandh Mujhe Is Mitti ki” her last recorded song that paid tribute to the Indian Army for their bravery.

She sang in many of Anil Kapoor’s songs like Naina Yeh Barse, Saath Jiyenge, Khat Likhna Hai Par Sochti Hoon and others.

The actor will be next seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan. He also has Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and is a part of the sequel to No Entry.
