Kristen Stewart debuted a new look at the Venice International Film Festival 2021 on September 3: strawberry blonde hair.

Spencer, the actor’s highly anticipated Princess Diana biography, premiered at the festival, and she looked great in a Chanel little suit, heels, and, yes, a new hair color. Spencer will be released in theatres in November and is already generating a lot of hype for awards consideration. “It focuses on one weekend in the life of Princess Diana, as she spends the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, and decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles,” according to a press release about the film.

Here’s how the film’s official description reads: “December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’s marriage have long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting, and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.”

Stewart appears on the billboard wearing a Chanel gown based on a look from the fashion house’s spring-summer 1988 range. The gown took over 1,000 hours to construct, according to Vogue Paris. “The gown is a beige organza evening gown embellished with gold and silver sequins that resemble beautiful floral branches,” says Marthe Mabille of Vogue Paris. “The neckline is framed with a finely pleated tulle flounce accented with sequins and a satin band, with a whalebone bustier.” “The front of the dress is encircled by a satin bow, and the skirt is fitted to the hip before unfolding to its full length, with hundreds of ruffles and gathers.” Reports Glamour.
