At the same time as she reprises one of her first acts in her career anew, Scarlett Johansson will play the titular role in her debut TV series. And we are definitely thrilled to witness her powerful performance in the Amazon series already.

In Just Cause, a prequel at Amazon’s Prime Video predicated on a 1992 novella by John Katzenbach, Johansson will both star in and executive produce.

The drama with Warner Bros. TV and novelist Christy Hall has earned a direct-to-pilot order from the streaming service I Am Not Okay With This.

An earlier feature movie adaptation of the novel, portraying Sean Connery, was aired in 1995. Johansson portrayed the character’s daughter in another of her initial movie roles.
