Rakul Preet Singh’s upcoming movie Doctor G is releasing soon. So, on today’s occasion of National Doctor’s Day, she took to Instagram to wish all the genius doctors in the country.
The first National Doctors’ Day was marked in India on July 1, 1991, to honour Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy for his services to the medical field. His birthday and death anniversary both fall on July 1st, which is a coincidence. He was an accomplished doctor, educator, freedom fighter, social worker, and politician.
Sharing a cute photo of her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, she captioned the photo as, “G se Gynecologist, G se Gupta, That’s our #DoctorG, Aur isi #DoctorG ke saath milkar I want to wish all the G se Genius Doctors a #HappyDoctorsDay”. Ayushmann looks adorable in his doctor’s getup with the glasses posing for the camera.
The movie Doctor G, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh, is scheduled to release in theatres on June 17, 2022. Anubhuti Kashyap, the sister of Anurag Kashyap, makes her directorial debut with the movie, which also stars Shefali Shah.
For authenticity, the makers of Doctor G arranged for experts to train the cast of the film in things related to the medical world. Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen essaying the role of a gynaecologist in the film.
