Plot

Peddi is set in the rural backdrop of Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s. It follows the journey of a dedicated village boy named Peddi (Ram Charan) who attempts to earn pride and identity for his community through his sporting talent. It is a sports drama that blends action, deep emotions, and rural politics in a paisa-vasool entertainer, keeping viewers invested.

Peddi, played by Ram Charan, excels in three main sports—cricket, wrestling, and sprinting. Amidst the journey from zero to hero, Peddi falls for Achiyamma, played by Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of a local politician. What makes the experience even more special is the sports drama, taking viewers on a ride with every sequence showcasing three different sports, with each sport playing a crucial part, and this, in fact, makes this journey engaging. And needless to mention, the themes of dignity, identity, and grit are the factors that resonate with all.
