Any astrology enthusiasts here? If you are you know what the Rahu-Ketu are capable of. These two troublemakers live rent-free in our charts. Humans fear them, astrologers sensationalise them, and Instagram astrologers are giving insights every now and then. In the middle of these, you find yourselves auditing your karma like a past-life guilty accountant and land on the ultimate dilemma—whether you should donate, detach, chant, or just uninstall Instagram. But do you know what these two planets do in this duality that we live in? Restore the good by propelling a head-spinning chaos.

Typically, what the movie is all about. It brings together the forever favourite Fukrey franchise, Pulkit Samrat (Ketu), and Varun Sharma (Rahu). And you get to cherish their partnership once again in the film. Rooted in mythology, it dusts off long-forgotten concepts from ancient texts and showcases them with a child-friendly lens. The story proceeds through Foofaji’s (Piyush Mishra) narration, tracing the birth of Rahu and Ketu—figures long blamed for misfortune and chaos in human lives. But as the narrative gently flips the script, it becomes clear that these so-called malefic planets aren’t the villains we always think they are; instead, they are here to bring cosmic justice. However, they enable it by initiating chaos.

While the narrative’s purpose might make you scratch your head, we feel it’s almost a sarcastic lens on reality, as the makers merge mythology with reality at once, unleashing mayhem.
In the film, you find Rahu and Ketu as the two endearingly unprepared friends on a cosmic road trip—the two stumble into destiny rather than chase it. While it starts off with a quest to hunt down a stolen magical notebook, it eventually wings over a messy mix of drug mafia. As we say, the film is a blend of reality and mythology; the humour juggles between the two as well—it is a collision of ancient belief systems and present-day chaos, letting superstition, fate, and free will bump into each other in amusing ways. It puts up as it is meant to be! So no pressure to decode symbolism—the film knows what it wants to be! An easy feel-good fantasy that leans into fun and lets the laughter do the heavy lifting.

IWMBuzz rates it 3.5/5 stars.
