On Monday, February 16, 2026, the Delhi High Court granted interim bail to Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav in the 9 crore cheque bounce case after his counsel informed the court that the actor had deposited 1.5 crore in the respondent’s bank account.

Earlier, the court made it clear that the actor would be released on interim bail only if he paid the 1.5 crore as per the demand draft within the given deadline. And if the actor failed to meet the demand, the next hearing would have been done on Tuesday.

However, Rajpal Yadav has been granted interim bail to attend his niece’s wedding, scheduled for February 19, which has brought him relief.

However, while granting bail, the court cited, “Considering that the petitioner’s niece’s marriage is to take place at Shahjapur and that 1.5 crore has been deposited in the respondent’s account, we are granting interim suspension of sentence.”

The court has also said that the actor Rajpal Yadav should appear before it on the next date of hearing, either in person or digitally. Also, have asked to surrender Yadav’s passport if it hasn’t been done yet.

According to the reports, the interim suspension of the sentence will remain in effect until the next hearing, scheduled for March 18, 2026.

In the 9 crore cheque bounce case, Rajpal Yadav earlier paid 75 lakhs, but later failed to pay the outstanding dues, leading to court proceedings and his surrender.

The actor also got support from several celebrities, including Salman Khan, Sonu Sood, Guru Randhawa, Gurmeet Choudhary, and others.
