Raaka, the Atlee-directed upcoming film, is set for a bigger move: it won’t release as a standalone film but will be released in two parts. According to an exclusive report by India Today, the Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone starrer 1000 crore film is being planned as a two-part franchise.
The reports further add that the film’s storyline will be across two different worlds and timelines, making it even more interesting. It is said that in the two timelines, one will show the tribal Puranic Veda era while the other will be the modern present era. With a big budget of 1000 crore, the epic is set to become one of the biggest cinematic masterpieces.
According to a source at the media house, actress Mrunal Thakur will play the lead role in the modern-day story. In contrast, actresses like Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna will appear in the Vedic period.
In addition, the source confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will make a special cameo in the film, which is yet to be filmed. And also that the shooting for the special cameo will take place in a foreign country.
When the first poster was released, Raaka generated enough buzz, and it has been building curiosity lately with an amazing star cast ensemble and the collaboration of Allu Arjun and Atlee. The film also looks grand and is expected to be another masterpiece in production.
However, makers have been very strict with the plot reveal; the latest buzz suggests that the upcoming film Raaka will be a two-part franchise, but an official confirmation is still awaited.
