The much-awaited YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led Alpha hit the theatres on July 3, 2026, but it really couldn’t impress at the box office. With Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the leading roles, the film opened to mixed to negative reviews from cinegoers and critics, which seems to have affected the box office performance, with the spy action recording the lowest opening day 1 collection compared to any YRF Spy Universe film.

Net India Collection: As per the reports by the Sacnilk website, the female-led spy film earned 9.25 crore in net India collection. The film was released with 7534 shows, giving it a wide presence at cinemas; however, it couldn’t manage to collect better.
Gross India Collection: The gross total stands at 11.10 crore.
Overseas Gross Collection: In overseas markets, the film grossed 5 crore on day 1.
Worldwide Gross Collection: With gross India and overseas gross, the spy-thriller collected 16.10 crore worldwide gross total.
In comparison, YRF Spy Universe’s last release, War 2, in 2025, opened with a 52 crore net India collection, while Pathaan stands as the highest opener with 57 crore net, and Alia’s Alpha turns out to be the weakest in the franchise.
At this pace, it looks impossible for the film to recoup its budget.
