While the film is no longer enjoying its early momentum, it has managed to hold its ground well in the third week, which is a positive sign for a niche Hollywood release in India.
In a market dominated by big-budget Indian films and franchise-driven Hollywood movies, Anaconda has carved out its own space.
Day 21 Box Office Collection
On Day 21 (Thursday), Anaconda collected an estimated ₹0.55–0.65 crore net at the Indian box office. As expected, the collections saw a slight dip compared to Day 20, but the drop remained minimal and controlled.
The collections were largely driven by multiplex audiences, especially in metro and tier-1 cities. Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata once again contributed the highest share. These urban centres have consistently supported the film since its release.
Stable Trend in the Third Week
One of the biggest positives for Anaconda is its steady trend. Instead of a sharp fall after the second week, the film has shown gradual, manageable declines. This kind of performance is often seen in content-driven films that rely on audience recommendations rather than opening-day hype.
The survival thriller genre has a loyal audience, and Anaconda seems to have connected with viewers looking for suspense and tension. Many moviegoers have appreciated the film’s gripping narrative, realistic survival elements, and atmospheric storytelling.
This steady pace has helped the film stay relevant in cinemas even after three weeks.
Total Box Office Collection Till Day 21
By the end of Day 21, Anaconda’s total India net box office collection stands at approximately ₹37.65–38.40 crore. With this, the film is now very close to the ₹40 crore milestone, which is a strong result for a mid-budget Hollywood survival thriller in the Indian market.
Crossing the ₹35 crore mark earlier had already placed the film in a safe zone. Now, every additional crore adds to its overall success and strengthens its box office record. While Anaconda may not be considered a blockbuster, it has clearly exceeded expectations and avoided a negative verdict.
For Hollywood films that are not part of a popular franchise, sustaining this long in Indian theatres is an achievement in itself.
Competition and Screen Availability
Another factor working in Anaconda’s favour is the lack of major Hollywood releases immediately replacing it on multiplex screens. With limited competition, the film continues to enjoy decent show timings, especially during late evenings and night slots.
This reduced competition may allow Anaconda to continue its slow run for a few more days.
As the days pass, all eyes will be on whether the film crosses the ₹40 crore mark, which would further cement its box-office success in India.
