Actor Siddhanth Kapoor gets big relief as the Karnataka High Court rejected the FIR (First Information Report) filed against the actor and two others in the 2022 Bengaluru drug case at a party.

As per the reports, the case was filed against Siddhanth, alleging that the actor had consumed drugs at a party in 2022; however, the actor denied these claims, and in return, he filed a plea the same year to quash the FIR.

On July 9, 2026, Justice M Nagarprasanna found that the prosecution rested solely on an unreliable urine test conducted by a private laboratory without mandatory confirmatory tests. And the court also added that there were mistakes in how the private hospital followed the procedure for the blood and urine tests, instead of choosing the Central Government regional forensic lab. In conclusion, the court allowed Kapoor’s plea petition and quashed the FIR.

Actor Shakti Kapoor’s son and Shraddha Kapoor’s brother, Siddhanth Kapoor, was arrested in the same matter in June 2022 but was later released on bail as no drugs were found with him.

The actor was arrested after the police raided a hotel in Bengaluru, during which Siddhanth and others were detained for consuming narcotic and psychotropic substances. And the police said the actor tested positive for cocaine and cannabis, but the actor denied saying he didn’t consume any drugs knowingly.
