Tiger Shroff’s action-packed film Baaghi 4 has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an ‘A’ certificate, but only after the makers agreed to make 23 changes. These include both visual and audio cuts.

One of the major visual cuts was the deletion of a scene where the hero stands on a coffin. Another scene showed a character lighting a cigarette from a religious lamp, which was removed. A 13-second scene where a cigarette is lit from an amputated hand was also cut. A scene showing inappropriate touching was replaced, and a frontal nude shot was hidden.

Several violent scenes were either deleted or trimmed. These included throat-slashing, hand-chopping, sword killings, and even a scene where a knife is thrown at a statue of Jesus. An 11-second long violent scene and a shot where a statue leans after being hit were also removed.

The CBFC also made changes to the film’s dialogues. Words like “bhang b***a”, “fingering”, and other strong language were either muted or replaced. Even the word “condom” was muted in one line, and a few other dialogues were changed to sound less offensive.

Initially, the film’s runtime was 2 hours and 43 minutes. After the cuts, the length was reduced to 2 hours and 37 minutes.

Baaghi 4, directed by A Harsha, features Sanjay Dutt as the villain. It also stars Harnaaz Sandhu, Shreyas Talpade, and Sonam Bajwa. The film is set to release in theatres this Friday.
