Amidst mixed responses, the romance drama opened at the box office on a solid note, with a whopping 24 crore global collection.
The Homi Adajania-directed film, which explores new-age relationships, friendships, love, romance, and drama, earned an impressive 14.1 crore net India collection, which is a good number amid competition at the box office. However, the India gross is 16.64 crore, the overseas gross is 7.36 crore, bringing the worldwide gross to 24 crore.
The strong opening-day collection signals a positive trend over the first week, and at the current pace, the film is likely to surpass the 50 crore mark in a couple of days. With the first weekend ahead, the film is likely to see a hike in collections, but it all depends on how it goes on Saturday and Sunday, as other films have also increased the competition.

Now, after almost 12 years, the sequel of the film was released yesterday, June 19. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg under the banners Maddock Films and Luv Films.
