With just three days remaining for the release of Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, anticipation around the romantic entertainer continues to soar. The film has generated a lot of buzz thanks to its star-studded cast, contemporary appeal, franchise recall value and chartbuster music. Adding to the excitement, industry sources suggest that the teasers of two much-awaited Maddock Films productions, Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story and Eetha, are likely to be showcased alongside the film in cinemas.

Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story stars Rajkummar Rao as renowned special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and features Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles. Directed by Avinash Arun, the film is slated to arrive in cinemas on August 7.

The second teaser expected to accompany Cocktail 2 is that of Eetha, featuring Shraddha Kapoor in the role of legendary Marathi Tamasha performer Vithabai Narayangaonkar. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the filmmaker behind Chhaava, the film also stars Randeep Hooda and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and is set for a theatrical release on August 28 on Raksha Bandhan.

According to a source, “In all probability, these two teasers will be shown with Cocktail 2, though the final call is yet to be taken. In the past, Maddock revealed the teaser of Bhool Chuk Maaf with Chhaava, the Shakti Shalini announcement asset with Thamma, Chhaava teaser with Stree 2, etc. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if audiences are treated with the promos for Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story and Eetha alongside Cocktail 2.”

Trade circles believe both projects have strong potential. Rajkummar Rao is said to have delivered a remarkable performance as Ujjwal Nikam, while Shraddha Kapoor will be seen in one of the most transformative roles of her career, portraying a powerful and culturally significant character.

With Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story arriving at the start of August and Eetha closing out the month, Maddock Films is all set to dominate the box office conversation throughout August. From opening the month with a gripping courtroom-inspired drama to ending it with a grand biographical spectacle, they are set to take over the month with two of its most ambitious and eagerly awaited releases.
