The new Harry Potter series evokes nostalgia but also a sense of remorse that we won’t see our very favourite cast in the new series. HBO’s reboot has begun its production, according to reports, and now we have Daniel Radcliffe, who breathed life into the character Harry Potter for years, sending a sweet letter to the recruit Dominic McLaughlin, who shall play Harry Potter in the new series.

Daniel Radcliffe had no intention to overpower, as he explained. He just wanted to wish the new actor all the best and step back. He said, “I don’t want to be a spectre in the life of these children,” and added, “I just wanted to write to him to say, ‘I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did.” He went on to add, “I just look at them and say, ‘Oh, it’s crazy I was doing that at that age,” per Hindustan Times.

The new series shall feature Arabella Stanton as Hermione and Alastair Stout as Ron. The series will be filmed over several years, with each season adapting a J.K. Rowling book. According to a BBC report, Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden has also built a temporary school so the actors can continue their studies.

With this reboot, we can say that the newer generation can experience the magic it has always carried. However, for the Potterheads, it shall definitely be an inner conflict to witness new faces sliding into our favourite characters.
