The second instalment of the highly awaited sequel Dhurandhar 2 has become the target of production rumours, which production insiders now use to explain the current state of production. The project’s sources have rejected all social media rumours about secret shooting schedules involving Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna in January 2026 as unfounded.
The official statements indicate that the film’s content has reached its final version and is now entering the final stage of post-production. Director Aditya Dhar used a strategic filming method that combined both saga parts into a single shoot, completing principal photography for the sequel during the first shoot. The explanation establishes that Akshaye Khanna will appear in the movie through flashback scenes that depict his character, who died in the first film.
The production team works to finish both the background score and the trailer editing process while Director Dhar announces that the first teaser will launch in late January or early February 2026. The film features an outstanding ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh as Hamza, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, and R. Madhavan.
The movie Dhurandhar 2 will have its pan-India theatre launch on March 19 2026, during the Eid holiday. The first film is now available on digital platforms after its Netflix debut on January 30 2026, enabling viewers to watch the original story before the sequel arrives.
However, as of now, Someone shared the BTS picture on Reddit, “Dhurandhar 2 is still shooting just a month before its release. Couldn’t get much more info, but they’ve converted an entire gully in Ballard Estate into Lyari. The whole area was cordoned off, but I somehow managed to sneak in along with the background artists. Even from a distance, Sanjay Dutt has an incredible aura. And honestly, Arjun Rampal looks even more handsome than before.”
