Vijay Verma is all set for the release of his new film Gustakh Ishq. He is paired opposite Fatima Sana Shaikh in this romantic drama. However, ahead of that, in an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz, he opened up about his experience when he met the legendary poet Gulzar.
In an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz journalist Sweta Gupta, when asked the actor about his experience meeting the legendary poet Gulzar, Vijay said, “I don’t stop myself, just one hour before I got to know that Gulzar Sahab is free so I quickly cancelled all my schedule and I was roaming in my house that since I’m meeting I should take something. Then I brought a bouquet, and then I was thinking what else he could do, and he brought sweets.”
Further, Vijay shared, “Then I was thinking what else I can do, so I went to my library and took three books of Gulzar Sahab, thinking that if Gulzar Sahab signs any one of the three books, it will make my day.”
Sharing about his meeting, Vijay said, “So I went and met him, touched his feet, took blessings, and for some time we had a conversation. And he praised my new film, highlighting that Gulzar liked the fact that the way this film talks on the topic of how to preserve poetry that is very close to his heart.”
He added. “So I gave the three books to Gulzar Sahab and asked if he could sign any one of them, and he said he could sign all three, and then he took the books and was writing, and he praised him with all his words.”
Lastly, Vijay shared that it was a precious and big moment for him, and he kept all three signed books on his bed.
