HBO has got Harry Potter fans on the edge of their seats after announcing a new series, with rejuvenated cast this time. The new Harry Potter series shall hit our screens in 2027. However, while that’s on the run, HBO’s chief Casey Bloys has now confirmed that second season is already under the pen. The chief revealed on Thursday that the writers are penning down season 2 already.
HBO Chief Casey Bloys stated while talking to reporters, “The plan is to still try and get it — I don’t know if it’s going to be like stop shooting Season 1 on Friday and start Season 2 on Monday. There’ll be a break in there, but we’re going to do whatever we can to not have a huge gap,” and further added, “For the kids, obviously, but also for viewers. You know, trying to not have massive gaps. It is a big show, lots of special effects, obviously, massive operation, but we’re going to do what we can.” Per Deadline.
While that’s absolutely good news for the fans, for the unversed, the shooting for the first season has already begun. The first season went under production this summer, and shall feature Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter. Alastair Stout shall take up the role of Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton shall pick up the role of Hermione Granger.
