The man has been ruling the hearts of the masses since the last 20 years and well, in all these years, he’s shown enough credibility in his work. From being the romantic lover boy of movies to eventually becoming the slayer action hero who knows effortlessly how to pull off dance steps and action moments, Shahid Kapoor has indeed been brilliant and fascinating in everything that he’s been a part of. The best thing that one must admit about Shahid Kapoor is the fact that come what may, he never shies away or hesitates from attempting something bold and difficult. He’s always been a trendsetter whenever he’s been a part of pathbreaking content and well, this time as well, things aren’t different by any means. Shahid Kapoor is all set to make his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Farzi’. The series is created by Raj & DK and it has an amazing cast in the form of Vijay Sethupathi, Amol Palekar, Raashi Khanna and others. Fans are particularly excited about the fact that Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi are working with each other for the first time. So, what was Shahid’s experience of working with Vijay Sethupathi?
During the trailer launch event of Farzi, Shahid Kapoor was quoted as saying,
“Well, the idea of Farzi had first come to me around 8 years back. At that time, there were contemplations about how to put it together for a film since the story was a little too long for a film. At that time, OTT wasn’t a thing. Now when I see it, I feel that thank God it didn’t happen then as a movie because it would have been a real injustice to the script. Raj & DK are both experts of the long format and when these two are doing this, you just know that you are indeed in safe hands. It needed the kind of time and duration that it has got. It’s a fabulous cast and I couldn’t have asked for a better digital debut if I have to look at it that way. From Amol Palekar sir to Raashi, it’s been a fantastic experience. And what do I say about Vijay Sethupathi sir? I am ecstatic to work with him in Farzi. Unfortunately, we don’t have too many scenes together as most of the time, our characters are running parallel to each other. But whatever little bit I have got to work with him, it’s an experience worth cherishing. Everything about Farzi is very ‘OG’ and I hope, audience enjoy it once they get to see this soon.”
