The actress, who was recently seen in the streaming series Shekhar Home, has approached the Mumbai Police and registered a complaint regarding the incident.

According to a report by IANS, the case has been registered at Mumbai’s Amboli Police Station based on Kirti Kulhari’s complaint. The actress, who lives in Versova and supports her family through her work in acting and film production, reportedly discovered the fraud while she was at Cinepolis near Fun Republic Mall in Andheri West.

Suspicious USD 2,525 Transaction Raises Alarm

As per the FIR, Kirti Kulhari received an alert about a USD 2,525 transaction made through Aeromexico Airlines using her bank credit card. Suspecting that the transaction was fraudulent, she immediately contacted her bank’s toll-free helpline.

The bank subsequently informed her that four major unauthorized transactions had been carried out using her credit card. The financial institution then blocked the card as a precautionary measure.

Actress Says Card Password Was Never Shared

In her statement to the police, Kirti Kulhari reportedly maintained that her credit card password was confidential and had never been shared with anyone. The circumstances have raised concerns about how the scammers gained access to her financial information.

Investigators are now looking into the possibility that Kirti Kulhari’s mobile phone or credit card may have been compromised through malware or spyware. The police are investigating the cyber fraud case and the source of the unauthorized transactions.

The incident serves as another reminder of the growing threat of sophisticated online financial scams, with even public figures increasingly becoming targets of cybercriminals.
