Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon is undoubtedly one of the most loved actresses and is also an entrepreneur and producer. She sat down for a candid conversation with Kareena Kapoor on the Mirchi Plus talk show, What Women Want, where she opened up about keeping her personal life private, paparazzi culture, and the recent Rakshabandhan ad controversy.

Kriti Sanon On Keeping Her Personal Life Private And The Reason Behind It

Kriti explained that a public figure naturally faces continuous scrutiny of most of their life. “People know most about us. There are constant eyes on us, and we are constantly discussed as a casual dinner-table conversation,” the actress stated.

She added that keeping her personal relationships out of the limelight is a conscious decision to protect herself and the people she loves from public distortion.

However, Kriti admitted that when boundaries are repeatedly crossed, she has no qualms about “becoming a baddie” to stand her ground.

Sharing one such incident where her boundaries were explicitly violated, Kriti said she was in Udaipur attending a wedding. While returning, a cameraman began filming her aggressively outside the terminal and shockingly continued to stalk and record her even after she had passed through security gates inside the airport.

When she naturally objected to the invasive filming, the footage was leaked online with sensationalized clickbait tickers claiming “Kriti Sanon gets angry at the media.”

Rakshabandan Ad Controversy

Kriti Sanon was trolled heavily for her Rakshabandhan ad, where she appeared in an ivory lehenga paired with a bralette-like blouse, sparking discussion. After trolls targeted Kriti, she hit back, subtly reminding them that Rakshabandhan is fundamentally a celebration of the pure bond between a brother and sister—meaning external commentators have absolutely zero authority to dictate what a modern woman should wear.

Speaking on the matter, in the interview Kriti shared that she has to become a baddie because it was the much larger conversation. She criticized how women are often judged and always targeted.

Concluding the segment, the actress opened up about the emotional toll of viral cyberbullying. She noted that the relentless wave of nasty comments deeply distressed her sister, Nupur Sanon, and left her immediate family incredibly stressed and upset.
