Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly acquired a plot in a seven-star enclave in Ayodhya, the sacred town in Uttar Pradesh, just ahead of the grand inauguration of the Ram temple, as per reports in NDTV. The Mumbai-based developer, The House of Abhinandan Lodha, (HoABL) has confirmed the purchase, estimating the plot to be around 10,000 sqft with a value of ₹14.5 crore.

The enclave, named The Sarayu, spans 51 acres and is poised to be inaugurated on January 22, coinciding with the consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Strategically located 15 minutes away from the temple and a half-hour from the airport, The Sarayu is set to become a prominent project with a scheduled completion date of March 2028, featuring a five-star palace hotel.

Expressing his excitement about the venture, Amitabh stated, “I am looking forward to embark on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart.” Amitabh further explained, “This is the start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital.” Abhinandan Lodha, chairman of HoABL, said BigB was the “first citizen” of The Sarayu and his investment will turn the project into a “symbol of Ayodhya’s global spiritual significance”.

Ayodhya, known for its historical and cultural significance, holds a special place in the heart of Amitabh Bachchan. The actor’s birthplace, Prayagraj, is a mere four-hour drive from Ayodhya.
