It’s been quite some time now that fans have been wanting to see the likes of Janhvi Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi on top of their game in the entertainment space. As far as B-Town is concerned, it has seen quite a dry run in the past few years owing to Covid-19 and other reasons. But then slowly and steadily, things are picking up in the industry and how. This week, we had three interesting releases in the form of Mili, Double XL and Phone Bhoot. While Mili is headlined by Janhvi Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal, Double XL features actors like Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, Zaheer Iqbal, Mahat Raghavendra and others. On the other hand, Phone Bhoot stars Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles.
As far as box office collection on day 1 is concerned, seems like Katrina Kaif’s movie has raced past the others. As per reports in Jan Bharat time, Katrina Kaif starrer Phone Bhoot has earned around 2 crores on day 1. Janhvi Kapoor’s Mili is estimated to have minted around 50 lakhs. On the other hand, Double XL is said to have minted around 50-70 lakhs on day 1.
While Mili might be lagging behind in terms of box office collection on day 1, as per critical acclaim and buzz, Janhvi Kapoor’s stellar act in the movie is getting the most amount of appreciation.
