The trailer launch event for ‘O Romeo’ turned bitter after veteran actor Nana Patekar walked out. The event was all set to take place on January 21st, 2026. Videos from the event are making the rounds on the internet, showing paparazzies surrounding Nana Patekar as the Welcome actor walks out of the event.
Nana Patekar arrived at the event at 12:00 pm as scheduled. However, the event was delayed because the film’s lead actors, Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, were attending a poster launch at a nearby cinema. Nana Pateka reportedly lost patience after waiting around 90 minutes and left the venue before the trailer was unveiled.
The director Vishal Bhardwaj dealt with the issue of Patekar’s sudden exit right after the incident with tenderness and humor. At last, he jokingly labeled the aging actor as a “bully” in the most lovable way and likened him to the most mischievous kid in a classroom who both disrupts and entertains. Bhardwaj said that there was no animosity between them; he just pointed out that Patekar’s erratic behavior is a part of his character. The director’s cheerful reaction helped to calm down what could have been a rather uncomfortable event, and it also illustrated the cordiality between the two.
Patekar received the largest share of the public response to the walkout, with social media users praising the 75-year-old actor’s dedication to being on time and the high standards of the industry. The announcement of the incident prompted many people to comment that the old gentleman’s refusal to endure a 90-minute delay was a challenge to the industry’s usually laid-back approach to time. By now, the incident has already triggered wider discussions about the necessity of treating everybody’s time on the set with respect, no matter how big the star is. In the meantime, the excitement for O’Romeo, the action-thriller directed by Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, which will be released in cinemas on February 13, 2026, is still on the rise.
