Ranveer Singh has found himself in a soup with his sudden, unceremonious exit from Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming directorial film Don 3. As per the reports, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees has taken a firm stand against Ranveer Singh for his unplanned exit from Don 3, leading to controversy.
After his Don 3 exit, the film body has issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranvee, alleging that the actor failed to respond to the invitation to appear in person and discuss the matter despite three reminders.
While addressing the media, Chief Advisor to FWICE Ashoke Pandit said, “On 11th April, Farhan filed a complaint. Three weeks before the unit was to leave for the shoot, Ranveer left the movie.”
Ashoke Pandit revealed that they called Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment to share the story personally, which Farhan Akhtar also attended remotely, and the two shared the whole story, emphasizing the expenses made from hotel bookings to locations, etc., for around 200 workers. Abd claimed that the pre-production expense was up to 45 crore, which Excel Entertainment has demanded from Ranveer Singh.
Amidst the film body ban buzz, Ranveer Singh reacted to the matter. His spokesperson shared that the actor is consciously staying silent throughout the issue.
Ranveer’s official statement: “Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity, and mutual respect.”
Further, the actor added, wishing the best for the franchise and refraining from discussing the whole matter in the media: “While several narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead. He continues to hold deep respect and goodwill for all those involved and sincerely wishes the franchise continued success. Choosing restraint and grace in moments like these has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance.”
The film body announced a ban on Ranveer Singh after the actor refused to appear at FWICE to share his side of the story despite being reminded three times.
