Rashmika Mandanna has eventually decided to discuss the box-office failure of Sikandar, which was Salman Khan-led and had only a meager 110.36 crore rupees as its total collection, notwithstanding the laundering of a film through a festival holiday.
In a video that has now gone viral, Rashmika, who is accompanying a Telugu-speaking journalist, said that the film’s script was completely different from what had been narrated to her at first. She went on to say that when she listened to the script by director AR Murugadoss, it was very different from the one that was finally shown in cinemas. The saga underwent a major change during the film’s shoot.
Regardless, the actress was quick to point out that such changes are common in the film industry. She expanded on this, noting that the plot presented to the actors at the very beginning often doesn’t match the one finally shown to the public. There are a number of reasons for these changes, among them being the actors’ interpretations, cutting, and sometimes the movie’s release date.
The unexpected news has sparked debate on social media around the world. Many audience members are speculating that Rashmika might have had a larger role at the beginning, which was then cut down during filming. Some online users think that the ambiguity in the artistic direction during shooting played a major role in the film’s negative reception.
Sikandar was the second film in Bollywood after Chhaava. The movie starring Salman Khan, though it had very high expectations, still failed to build rapport with the audience and thus experienced a considerable decline in its box office collections.
