Potterheads, we now have Rupert Grint finally speak up on his role as Ron Weasley, and that he shall never leave the character’s shadow. The actor, 37, has played Ron Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011. Every time we recall Ron Weasley, we remember this redheaded boy, who balanced humour and courage in the world of wizardry.

Harry Potter has been on the rounds with the new HBO series, and also Tom Felton reprising the role of Draco Malfoy in Cursed Child. And now Rupert Grint has stated that he shall continue to hold space for Ron Weasley’s shadow. Recently speaking to the BBC, the actor said that he will always be known as the ‘lovable kid wizard.’

The actor went on to say that he doesn’t experience any bit of annoyance, as he is constantly linked to the role of Ron Weasley. He instead takes pride in it. The actor also revealed that, just like Daniel Radcliffe, he too has written a letter to the child actor who shall be taking up his role as Ron Weasley in the new HBO Harry Potter series. However, unlike Daniel, Rupert did not disclose the details that he wrote in the letter.

The actor said, “It’s quite strange to have the cycle happening again,” and added, “I’m really intrigued what it’s going to be like.” Per The Independent.
