Kajol and Tanishaa Mukerji celebrated Durga Puja with their beloved mother, veteran actress Tanuja Mukerji, embracing the festive spirit with warmth and devotion. The family’s special moments offered a glimpse into their cherished traditions, capturing the essence of togetherness, cultural pride, and the joy of celebrating Durga Puja with loved ones.
On October 15, 2026, Kajol uploaded a couple of photos with her family and in the caption wrote, “Today was all about #Maa in all her forms… as a mother, as a daughter, as a protector and as a Goddess! #jaimaadurga and the madness begins.”
The opening frame gives a glimpse of Kajol’s beautiful bond with her mother, Tanuja, and sister, Tanishaa, as the trio hugs each other while posing in front of the huge idol of Goddess Durga during the inauguration of the legendary 80th North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja in Mumbai’s pandal. The video shows fireworks, and the last picture gives a glimpse of Kajol’s wholesome moment with her family, including filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, Samrat Mukerji, and Sharbani Mukerji.
Kajol’s sister and actress Tanishaa also shared photos from the Durga Puja celebration with the caption, “Favourite time of the year… Maa Aasche !! Durga Maa ki joi!!”
Across the series of photos, Tanishaa shared beautiful moments from the pandal visit, meeting close ones and others celebrating the auspicious occasion.
The Mukerji family has been closely associated with Durga Puja celebrations for many years. Deb Mukherjee (died in March 2025) and Krishna Mukerji have passed away; now, Kajol, Ayan Mukerji, and other family members continue the tradition, keeping their longstanding connection to the celebrations alive.
