The actress Taapsee Pannu used her public platform to both confirm and deny the ongoing speculation about her alleged feud with Kangana Ranaut. Taapsee made her statement about her relationship with Kangana during the promotional activities for her courtroom drama Assi by explaining that their relationship remained peaceful without any direct fighting between them. She demonstrated that both parties must participate in a conflict because she has always maintained a positive public image of Kangana without making negative comments.

Taapsee responded to the 2019 situation when Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel insulted her by calling her a “cheap copy” of Kangana. Taapsee considers the comparison to Kangana, who is a skilled actress, as something which she does not see as offensive.

Taapsee proved her professional conduct through her statement that she would treat Kangana with polite behavior because Kangana holds a higher status in the film industry. She specifically pointed out that the public rivalry between herself and Kangana might have started because external parties wanted to share their perspective during the major discussions about Bollywood nepotism which involved the conflict between insiders and outsiders.

Taapsee uses her statements to eliminate falsehoods while she works to build respectful relationships inside the film industry.

She said, “I don’t know when I ever fought. A fight happens when two people clash. I never clashed. You tell me — have I ever said even a single line against her? Her sister called me a ‘cheap copy.’ She said that since I don’t earn as much money here, that makes me cheap. If she is such a brilliant actress, I have no problem being called her copy. You can take out any statement of mine — I haven’t said anything against her,” per Money Control.
