The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has repeatedly surfaced in investigations involving threats, extortion demands and shootings connected to prominent personalities in the Indian entertainment industry. Actors, filmmakers, comedians and Punjabi singers have all figured in incidents allegedly involving the criminal network. Here are 12 names that have emerged in reports over the years.
1. Salman Khan
Salman Khan has been among the most frequently threatened Bollywood personalities in cases associated with the Bishnoi network. In April 2024, gunmen fired outside his Bandra residence in Mumbai. Individuals claiming connections to the gang subsequently took responsibility. The actor has faced repeated security concerns, with investigators examining alleged plots against him.
2. Tiger Shroff
Tiger Shroff became the latest Bollywood actor to be caught in a shooting incident on October 18, 2026. Gunfire erupted in Juhu while the actor was returning from a football session, part of his regular weekend routine. Tiger escaped without injuries, but his driver was hurt. Reports also indicated that an autorickshaw driver sustained injuries. A message purportedly linked to the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, although investigators are examining the authenticity of the claim.
3. Rohit Shetty
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty faced a serious security scare when shots were fired outside his Juhu residence in February 2026. The incident was followed by claims of responsibility from individuals allegedly associated with the Bishnoi network. Mumbai Police subsequently investigated the gang’s suspected role and possible motives behind the attack.

Intelligence inputs reportedly helped authorities intervene in a suspected attempt to target him. The matter raised concerns about threats extending beyond film actors to other entertainment personalities.
6. Gippy Grewal
Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal found himself at the centre of a shooting incident in Canada in November 2023. 12. Shaganpreet Singh
Shaganpreet Singh, who previously managed Sidhu Moosewala, has also been named in reports concerning the wider Bishnoi gang rivalry. His reported association with the disputes surrounding the murdered singer placed him in a different category from the Bollywood actors facing extortion demands.
Other Bollywood Personalities Reportedly Under Threat
The list may extend beyond the publicly identified names. In February 2026, police sources indicated that at least five Bollywood personalities had reportedly received extortion calls from individuals associated with the Bishnoi network. Some of those approached had not filed formal complaints.
The murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in October 2024 also became part of the wider investigation into the network’s alleged criminal activities and connections to Bollywood.
The incidents differ considerably in nature, ranging from threatening communications and alleged extortion attempts to shootings and murder investigations. Not every claim of responsibility has been independently established, and the appearance of a person’s name in these reports does not necessarily mean that police have confirmed their inclusion on a formal gang hit list.
As investigations continue, the recurring threats and attacks have brought the security of high-profile entertainment personalities into sharper focus.
