The controversy involving the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) has become even messier after actress Upasana Singh raised concerns about former office-bearers Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure and even filed a police complaint against them.
On Friday, September 11, 2026, a video circulated online featuring current CINTAA members Upasana and Priti Sapru confronting the police. In the video, the two are seen asking a police officer to return papers that had been taken.
As the video became the topic of discussion, Upasana alleged that Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure attempted to remove documents from the CINTAA office.
Upasana claimed that Poonam and Padmini were taking away CINTAA documents and other belongings. She said, “An actor who was passing by called me and told me what was happening. I immediately reached there and called the police. That is when everything happened.”
According to Upasana, the matter emerged after a CINTAA member alleged discrepancies in the association’s records and also demanded a forensic audit of the documents. She claimed, “A CINTAA member had raised concerns about irregularities in the documents and demanded a forensic jaanch. He felt that something was not right with them. After that, today I got to know that Padmini and Poonam were taking out CINTAA documents in a tempo.”
The actress further said Poonam and Padmini have no right to enter the CINTAA premises after the election results were approved. She then filed a police complaint at the Versova police station.

However, both Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure rejected the claims, clarifying that the files were sensitive member KYC records being transferred to CINTAA’s main registered office strictly for safekeeping. Poonam even claimed that the association’s private data had been compromised or stolen.
The matter comes to light amid the growing tensions within CINTAA ahead of its elections, scheduled for September 12.
