Robert Downey Jr. is an American actor and producer. He was born on April 4, 1965. His success was critical and popular in his youth. He has gone through a period of abuse and legal troubles, before his success in middle age. In 2008, he was among the 100 most influential people in the world, in the list of Time magazine. From 2013 to 2015, he was Hollywood’s highest-paid actor. His movies have grossed over 14.4 billion dollars worldwide, making him the sixth highest-grossing box office star of all time. His profession started at the age of five and he did various films. In 1992, Downey portrayed in the biopic named Chaplin, for which he was nominated for Academy Award for Best Actor and he won a BAFTA award. His character got terminated due to drug charges and he stayed in a court-ordered drug treatment program. After all these controversies, he bounced back and did good roles in Hollywood films from 2003 to 2011. He gained worldwide recognition starring as Tony Stark/ Iron Man in ten films. He earned the second Golden Globe Awards for the title character in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes.
