Tom Hanks appears to be on Hollywood’s speed phone whenever they want to develop a film based on true events. The movie Apollo 13 is confirmation that Tom Hanks is the right man for the job. One of the astronauts aboard Apollo 13 is played by Tom Hanks.

Bridge Of Spies

At this stage in his acting career, one of Hanks’ specialties is playing a hero in a war film. He’s done it a million times. Things are a little different in Bridge of Spies. When Hanks portrays an insurance lawyer who the government hires to not just talk to but also defend a Soviet spy, he plays one of his most endearing characters.
