Everyone loves a good romance, right? Of course. And, Ranbir Kapoor is no exception. He has expressed his love for romantic scenes quite vocally. He has a special thing for romantic scenes, maybe because a large part of his body of work has been mainly romantic films. Even his first debut film ‘Saawariya’, which was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, released in 2007, was a romantic film. His following works included Bachna Ae Haseeno, a typical Bollywood romantic comedy, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. This film did much better than Saawariya at the box office and was very well received by people. His following work was also of a similar pulse, with the likes of Wake Up Sid, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Tamaasha, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to name a few.

This does not however mean that Ranbir Kapoor is a typecast actor. His remaining body of work speaks volumes for his versatility, with the likes of Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, Rockstar, Sanju. These films have actually done more than enough to prove his depth as an artist and a performer. But his preference to play romantic roles over most other roles is something that is not a mystery.
