Sohum Shah’s Crazxy left audiences spellbound with its gripping storyline, intense thrill, and a never-seen-before climax. After the successful re-release of Tumbbad, Crazxy proved to be another stellar showcase of Sohum’s brilliance. The film created waves and received critical acclaim for its tightly woven narrative and meticulously crafted scenes. However, it was the surgery and tire-changing scene that became the most talked-about moment.
In this high-stakes 12-minute sequence, Abhimanyu simultaneously performs a remote surgery via video call while changing a flat tire in a desolate location—keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. But did you know all the dialogues were real in this scene and were developed in consultation with real doctors and surgeons, ensuring complete authenticity in both action and emotion?
Director Girish Kohli described the surgery scene and its authenticity, saying, “They researched a lot for this scene. And they performed it with a lot of hard work. All the dialogue of the surgery and the doctors are real. The possibilities explored within the surgery of failures and revival are also real. It’s rarest of rare, but it’s real.”
The entire tyre-changing and surgery sequence was incredibly gripping. Sohum Shah revealed that he learned how to change a tire specifically for the scene to make it look authentic. He said, “I learnt to change the tyre. I learnt it for the scene, just for the scene. Before that, I had never changed the tyres of a car.”
Crazxy, directed by Girish Kohli and produced by Sohum Shah under Sohum Shah Films, is now trending on Amazon Prime Video. The film continues to captivate OTT audiences with its suspenseful narrative, powerful performances, and compelling, one-of-a-kind storytelling.
