For the first time ever, in an innovative masterstroke, Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films transformed the launch of the next two songs from Cocktail 2 into a fully interactive audience experience following the success of “Jab Talak.” With both songs bringing completely different energies to Cocktail 2 and generating equal excitement within the team, Maddock Films took an unexpected and interactive route — giving the audience the power to decide live which track would release first to the world. In the presence of the star-studded team — Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, who looked spectacular in their stunning outfits, along with producer Dinesh Vijan, director Homi Adajania, producer and writer Luv Ranjan, writer Tarun Jain, producer Ankur Garg, and music composer Pritam,
The audience was shown two completely different worlds.
“Tujhko,” featuring Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, brought warmth, intimacy and soft summer romance, while “Mashooqa,” featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, exploded with playful chemistry, infectious energy and flirty vibes.
When asked about choosing between Cocktail 1 and Cocktail 2, Homi Adajania shared, “It’s like choosing between your two kids, someday you like someone, someday the other, but you love both, but right now, if you ask me, it’s cocktail 2.”
Talking about the album, Pritam shared, “I am very happy to be working with Dino after a really long time. My journey with Dino started long back and we have a lot of good albums together. Working with Maddock after 9 years. It’s a great album, I’ve had a blast!”
What followed was an unexpectedly close contest, with audiences passionately rooting and voting for both songs for completely different reasons. While some were swept away by the tenderness and emotional pull of “Tujhko,” others were instantly hooked to the carefree energy and flirtatious spirit of “Mashooqa.” The choice became so difficult that the excitement in the room naturally turned into a larger celebration of the film’s music and chemistry.
As the audience reactions poured in, the team finally decided to release ‘Mashooqa’ on Monday followed by ‘Tujhko’ on Thursday.
What began as a song launch soon became a big moment for the audience, taking the excitement for the film a few notches higher. By inviting audiences directly into the decision-making process, Maddock Films created a launch moment that felt spontaneous, immersive and perfectly reflective of the youthful, emotional world of Cocktail 2.
