EPIC Studios, in collaboration with Annapurna Studios, has officially announced the release date of its upcoming Telugu film Pallaburusu. Written and directed by Uday Chauhan, the comedy-drama is scheduled to arrive in theatres across India on August 14, 2026.

Pallaburusu First Look Poster: A Quirky Legal Comedy

Along with the announcement, the makers unveiled the film’s first-look poster, offering a glimpse into its quirky premise. The poster features the lead characters seated back-to-back on a giant toothbrush designed as a balancing see-saw, placed in front of a district courtroom. Surrounded by legal documents, a gavel, and court files, the artwork hints at a humorous courtroom drama infused with strong regional flavour.

Balagam Duo Reunites: Meet the Cast and Crew

Pallaburusu stars Sudhakar Reddy as the father and Muralidhar Goud as his son, reuniting the beloved actors after their memorable performances in the 2023 hit film Balagam. The movie also features Prajwal Yadma and Gomathy Reddy in pivotal roles. The film promises to blend situational comedy with legal drama while drawing from Telugu culture and everyday life.

The technical team includes cinematographer Vinod K. Bangari, music composer Pawan CH, and production designer Kshitij Jeevan Randhir.

Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios on the Collaboration

Speaking about the project, Aditya Pittie, Managing Director of The EPIC Company, said the studio aims to support stories that are original, culturally rooted and entertaining. He added that collaborating with Annapurna Studios has helped bring Uday Chauhan’s distinctive screenplay to life and expressed excitement about the film’s Independence Day weekend release.

He described Pallaburusu as a film that combines regional authenticity with feel-good entertainment, adding that the symbolism in the first-look poster reflects the film’s light-hearted and unpredictable tone.

The film is jointly presented and produced by Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios, with Aditya Pittie and Vivek Krishnani serving as producers for EPIC Studios.

With its courtroom setting, comedic narrative and culturally rooted storytelling, Pallaburusu is set to hit theatres on August 14, 2026.
