Vipul Amrutlal Shah will be collaborating with National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee for an upcoming political thriller titled Governor.
PeepingMoon.com reveals that Manoj Bajpayee will play the titular role of the Governor in this intense, commercially-driven theatrical drama. Vipul, known for directing Aankhen, Waqt: The Race Against Time, and Namastey London, London Dreams, Action Replayy, Namaste England will produce the film under his banner, Sunshine Pictures. The directorial responsibilities have been handed over to Chinmay Mandlekar.
Governor has been in development at Sunshine Pictures for the past two years. Casting for other key roles is currently underway. Pre-production has also begun, with filming expected to commence between July and August. The actor is thrilled to collaborate with Vipul for the first time on a project that promises to showcase him in a role unlike any he has played before.
Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Governor will be directed by Chinmay Mandlekar and co-produced by Aashin Shah.
Meanwhile, Vipul Amrutlal Shah is also gearing up for his upcoming directorial venture Hisaab, a heist thriller starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Shefali Shah in pivotal roles. Produced by Sunshine Pictures and Jio Studios, Hisaab is expected to release in the latter half of 2025.
