Yami Gautam has always spoken her heart out. And making the same evident in a latest interview, Yami Gautam spoke about how people make a big deal out of actors performing small roles in films, but it isn’t the case in Hollywood. The actress referred to her film Kaabil where she played a limited role but still propelled a huge impact on the film. However, her limited role in the movie got called out in volumes. And owing to that, Yami Gautam in a latest interview spoke about how it is not too much of a big issue to play small roles.

Talking about her role in Kaabil, where she portrayed as Hrithik Roshan’s wife in the movie, propelling a key part in the movie, said, “I was called out sometimes, ki acha inka toh cameo hai ya chota role hain (I was called out and being told ‘she has a cameo or a small role in films’). Kaabil, I think that’s another film that I am so glad, that I gotta be a part of that film. But, some people thought, the audience loved it. And now, when journalists interact with me, they be like ‘you were so good in that film’. But, I say ‘no but that’s not what you wrote back then’.”

She added, “I think it’s one of the few times when we should look at the west. Waha pe bade se bade actors (In Hollywood even the biggest stars), they don’t shy away from doing roles and working with directors if they want to. They don’t care. They just come and do something amazing and leave. Yaha pe we make it such a big deal,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.

On the work front, Yami Gautam will next be seen in the Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary’s directorial Lost. She is going to portray the role of a Kolkata-based journalist in the movie. The actress also has got Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 in the pipeline.
