He’s a performer. A role model. A lover of exotic animals. Justin Bieber is so many things that it’s easy to overlook the fact that he’s also a very humorous guy. Sure, the headlines may focus on less-than-flattering incidents, but think about how many times you’ve laughed out loud seeing the Biebs surprise his fans (celebrities and non-celebrities alike), handle physical comedy, and laugh at himself. He may not be a professional basketball player, but he has excellent comic timing.
While many superstars have been on Ellen to surprise their fans, it appears like Bieber is always in the wings, ready to pop out of boxes, emerge from the wings, and zip in on a hoverboard to meet with his followers. Naturally, there are shouts, clapping, and lots of laughter, especially because Ellen also has a stash of humiliating celebrity images on hand.
When he’s not on his hoverboard, he uses water slides, skateboards, and other forms of transportation. If you see Justin going down a Slip ‘N Slide, tell us you don’t grin. When he does get in a car with the rest of us, he’ll show off his car-dancing talents, scream out karaoke melodies, and prove that he can solve a Rubik’s Cube in no time.
It’s difficult to pick a favorite scene, but seeing Bieber snuggle with a dog, sprint in heels with his flowing blond locks flapping behind him, and have a personal moment with Jimmy Fallon simply goes to demonstrate that the sometimes-misunderstood singer may just be a hilarious genius.
