Neha Kakkar was born in Uttarakhand, who later shifted to Delhi. She then along with her brother Tony moved to Mumbai. Her debut song was Dhating Naach for the motion picture ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ and became instantly famous for her song Sunny Sunny which was a superhit. She also made another chartbuster London Thumakda. She was the judge for Indian Idol season 10 and 11.
