Pritam moved to Mumbai and began creating jingles, as well as becoming friends with a number of other young strugglers, including. Pritam wrote jingles for brands like Santro, Emami, and Head and Shoulders at the period, as well as the theme music for TV shows including Astitva, Kkavyanjali, Yeh Meri Life Hai, Remix, Kashmir, Mili, and Dil Kya Kare. Pritam has made a name for himself by masterfully mixing Indian classical music with western influences in his compositions. His music for Gadhvi’s second film, Dhoom, was an instant smash. Dhoom’s title tune, which was released in two languages “Hindi and English” shattered geographic bounds, becoming famous in pubs across the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Far East, and earning him a Zee Cine Award for Best Track of the Year.

He got two Filmfare Awards for his soundtrack film Barfi! in 2012. Throughout his career, Barfi has been regarded as one of the most critically acclaimed soundtrack albums. Race 3, Murder 3, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Dhoom 3 were on his list by 2013. He began 2014 by writing songs for Yaariyan and Shaadi Ke Side Effects. He subsequently took a vacation in 2014 before returning in 2015 with three successful albums, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom, and Dilwale, for which he received Filmfare nominations. White Lies, Jagga Jasoos, and Badtameez Dil are among his future flicks.
