If you happen to ask a music lover, they’ll always tell you how the 90s and early 2000s era was when music was at its best. With meaningful lyrics and beautiful compositions, it wouldn’t be wrong to call it the golden era of music.
Before sudden wave of Bollywood music, back in the 90s there was an abundance of regular pop albums and singles by popular artists such as Baba Sehgal, Alisha Chinai, Ila Arun, Lucky Ali, Neeraj Sridhar, Falguni Pathak and such.
One such well-known singer who managed to break into Bollywood and make a mark was Shaan. Who can forget that melodious voice crooning for some of the biggest hits? Lending his voice to some of the biggest Bollywood superstars including Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, his voice is considered to be the best-suited for romantic and soulful songs.
Shaan is undoubtedly one of the most versatile singers out there having sung songs for various genres and also in numerous languages.
Shantanu Mukherjee or as we know him Shaan, started his musical journey at a very young age of 17 by singing jingles for advertisements. It was only when he and his singer, who is also an accomplished singer, signed with a recording company and released successful albums that bought the duo into the limelight. A string of hit singles and albums further cemented their popularity on the music scene in the 90s.
With songs like ‘Wo Pehli Baar’, ‘It’s The Time To Disco’, ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’, ‘Chand Sifarish’ and so many more, Shaan became one of Bollywood’s most favorite and sought-after singers.
