AR Rahman, the music master, is adored not only by Indian listeners but also by international stalwarts for his pioneering contributions to the music world. Taylor Swift, among others, praised Rahman and called him a “fantastic musician” at one point.

She went on to say that she has heard “so much” about the Oscar winner and that she would want to see him play live. The Bad Blood singer also stated that she is open to working with Indian musicians and even learning a few Hindi words as a result of the experience. Taylor had previously stated, “I’d love to sing for a Bollywood film.”

Swift said in a 2014 interview with Hindustan Times that she has heard a lot about the Kun Faya Kun singer and that his music ‘touches the soul.’ “I’d love to see him perform live at least once,” she concluded. Taylor then joked that, while she had no immediate intentions to collaborate with Indian musicians, she would be open to offers and willing to learn Hindi subtleties.

She also talked about Bollywood and how the great range of dance and music in Indian cinema fascinates her. “I believe Indians have a strong affinity for song and dance in movies, which I adore,” she remarked, adding that it’s a ‘wonderful way’ to connect with the audience. Taylor joked about her Bollywood debut, saying she’s hesitant to act in a Hindi film because she doesn’t speak the language well. She would, however, love to sing in a Bollywood tune.
