Filmmaker Farah Khan recently visited singer-composer Adnan Sami’s 10,000-square-foot duplex penthouse at Oberoi Sky Garden in Lokhandwala, Andheri West, Mumbai. However, the singer’s house isn’t just another luxurious home; it’s a world of art with thoughtfully curated spaces. The penthouse features unique items from around the world, including rare antiques, original records, stunning interiors, classy furniture, priceless manuscripts, and more, alongside cream-themed interiors.
The entrance opens up to an expansive foyer that leaves visitors in awe. First, you see a beautiful collage of Adnan and his wife, Roya Faryabi; then you enter the spacious, expansive living room. The hall is divided into two sides, each dedicated to different purposes, including a dining area, a music corner, and a seating area for guests.
On one side is the music corner, which looks super cozy and classy. The chic black piano grabs attention at the center, while original recordings on the walls elevate the experience with traditional classic chairs. On the same side, in a corner, white statues create an illusion.
The other side of the hall has a dining table with original recordings, artifacts, and silver collectibles, adding a touch of royalty. The singer displayed the silver crockery that instantly grabs attention.
Not just recordings, but Adnan also has original manuscripts, some of which are exceptionally rare and are considered priceless.
The photograph wall features pictures of the singer from his childhood and everything that makes for a mesmerizing view.
Adnan’s house also has a home theatre that appears quite impressively decorated with caskets, wall decor, unique cushions, and cozy seating.
The house also has an office space that looks like a vintage-era place, with brown wooden furniture, green, chic seating, and moody lighting.
Besides that, Adnan also has a singing room where he spends his time and has pictures of his favorites.
Lastly, there was the spiritual room, where Farah seemed amused by the beautifully framed Urdu Quranic calligraphic art that Adnan called Kaaba.
