If not a queen then what would you call the legendary singer of the music industry – Lata Mangeshkar? She deserves a title more than a Queen for all the contributions she’s made to the industry.

Lata Mangeshkar came into the cinematic world as a means of earning bread and butter for her whole family after her father’s death. There was no other amazing singer like her. She sang each of her songs with love and tenderness.

Throughout her journey, Lata Mangeshkar has earned quite a lot of awards and recognition. She was also called the Nightingale of India as well as titled by the government of India as the Daughter of Nation. She has been acclaimed and awarded not just in India but also internationally.

Whenever Lata Mangeshkar used to sing, she did it with breathtaking ease and there’s no exception to it. In most cases, there were no retakes as well as sometimes she didn’t even rehearse. Despite all that, she managed to deliver one after another superhit.

Lata Mangeshkar was also the most recorded artist in the Guinness Book of World Records. She has sung more than 25 thousand songs between 1948 to 1974 in many Indian languages.

Lata Mangeshkar’s song Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon was performed for the jawans of our country to appreciate them and give them courage. Her voice was so melodic that she left Jawaharlal Nehru in tears.
