As a kid, Kishore Kumar was always passionate about singing. But he was still frowned upon for singing by his friends and teachers as well as family because they considered his voice to be not fit for singing.

Outside Kishore Kumar’s office, there was a sign that read “ Beware of Kishore” because there was an incident where he bit the hand of a director. And so Kishore da put the board outside his office as fun. The director also understood the humor behind the act. It was no other than HS Rawail, who had paid Kishore da just half of his amount for the movie.

Kishore Kumar was a very stubborn fellow and would go and act as he pleased. For which he argued with a director, and so Kishore Kumar made up his mind to stop only when the director said so. But after one scene, the director forgot to mention cut, and Kishore da was driving for that scene and reached Khandala in his car.

Kishore Kumar is known to sing both in the masculine as well as feminine voice. And for the hit song Aake Seedhi Lag Dil Par from 1962 classic Half Ticket, Kishore Kumar sang both the male and female parts.
The government also banned Kishore Kumar as he refused to propagate the agenda of the then ruling government party. And so he got banned on AIR as well as Doordarshan.

Though Kishore Kumar was a famous actor and singer, he had massive stage fear. So, many times he refused to give interviews as well as had a few of his concerts canceled. It was once he gave an interview that was because it was taken by a close friend no other than Lata Mangeshkar. He also revealed to leave behind glamour filled life and go back to his hometown in Madhya Pradesh to live a simple life.

On October 13, 1987, due to a heart attack, he lost his life. And the industry lost a precious gem.
