A disheartening piece of news surfaces today: former Indian cricketer, actor, and Bigg Boss Sreesanth’s father, V Santhakumaran Nair, passed away. Reportedly, the incident took place at Lisie Hospital in Kochi at around 10 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026. The deceased was 89 years old.
As per the reports, V Santhakumaran Nair’s body is currently kept at the hospital mortuary. Also, the deceased will be taken to the family home at Kothamangalam on Sunday, September 13, 2026, after relatives arrive from abroad.
The body will be kept for public viewing at the Kothamangalam family home from 10 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, and the cremation will take place at 4 PM.
Santhakumaran Nair was a retired LIC Zonal Manager and is survived by his wife T N Savitri Devi, and children Deepusanth, Niveditha, a film and television artiste, Divya and Sreesanth.
His children-in-law are Kalpana, Captain Sajith, playback singer Madhu Balakrishnan, and Dhuvaneshwari.
Sharing his emotions, Sreesanth posted a picture of his father and mother mourning his father’s death on his Instagram stories, saying, “Love u Achan.”
