The Border-Gavaskar Test series is set to begin between India and Australia from February 9 and the sad update is that Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the first Test. He is yet to recover from his back injury and hence, his availability in the second Test match also depends on a fitness test. With Iyer’s absence in the middle order, this could be a golden opportunity for Surya Kumar Yadav to prove his mettle and make the most of the opportunity if he gets the chance.
