Sourav Ganguly, the former India cricket captain, has now filed a defamation suit against Kolkata Argentina FC president Uttam Saha. This followed after Sourav Ganguly came under fire, with Saha making allegations, linking Sourav Ganguly to the Salt Lake stadium visit. Given that, Sourav Ganguly has now filed a defamation case against Uttam Saha, seeking Rs 50 crores in damages.

Uttam Saha claimed that Sourav Ganguly has been instrumental in Messi’s visit to Calcutta, and further claimed that Sourav Ganguly was the middleman between the organiser and the Argentine. Following that, Sourav Ganguly’s legal team sent notice to Uttam Saha, according to a report by Hindustan Times. Sourav Ganguly stated, “Serious allegations are being made publicly without any factual basis.”
